Bamboo is just one of the many versatile and sustainable materials that automotive companies have been learning how to harness in recent years. Projects range from bamboo seat covers to help minimize any moisture damage to car seats, to bamboo charcoal air purifiers that can help absorb car odours within a pouch made from hemp.
Meanwhile, Ford has been working in recent years to develop vehicles with interiors made from bamboo combined with plastic to ensure greater durability. If this design is successful, automotive college students might see more and more bamboo in cars in the future.

Fully electric cars aren’t exactly the most novel automotive technology idea. In fact, their development can be traced all the way back to the 1800s. However, companies have been working in recent years to develop EVs in increasingly innovative ways.
