4. Automotive Service Technicians Love the North American International Auto Show

It’s only natural that the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), also sometimes called the Detroit Auto Show, is held in the Motor City itself. As graduates of service advisor training may know, Detroit was and still is an American hub for automotive innovation. NAIAS is known as the first platform many vehicle companies turn to when they want to launch a new vehicle or make a major announcement.

3. The Geneva Motor Show: A Favourite for Students in Service Advisor Training

Kicking off today and wrapping up on March 19th, this year’s International Geneva Motor Show promises 10 days of action-packed excitement. Across the automotive world, the Geneva Motor Show is known as a top not-to-be-missed event, welcoming over 685,000 car-loving individuals from around the world each year. This year’s show should be no exception. Everything from the Ferrari 812 Superfast to the production version of the Honda Civic Type R will be on display, making it one of the top events for auto industry professionals.
But even with all the excitement of this year’s show, the Geneva Motor Show is far from young. It’s been operating for 87 years and throughout that long history has seen the launch of many historic cars, including the Range Rover, Jaguar E-Type, and Audi Quattro.

2. The Paris Motor Show: The Runner Up for Top Auto Show in the World

The Paris Motor Show has been up and running in some shape or form since 1898, when it was known as the International Automobile, Cycling, and Sports Exhibition. Today, the show has grown from its humble origins into a world-renowned automotive show. Held every two years, people around the world await the news of new releases planned for this top event. In 2016, the Paris Motor Show welcomed a staggering 1.07 million visitors and showcased everything from the BMW sports activity coupe Concept X2 to the 2018 Kia Rio.

1. The International Motor Show: An Auto Show Industry Leader

The Frankfurt Motor Show, otherwise known as the International Motor Show or Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA), was first held in Berlin in 1897 and has grown to be the largest and most widely-recognized auto show in the world.
Just like the Paris Motor Show, it’s held every other year. Although, to make sure the two events don’t compete for the same audiences, the Paris Motor Show is held on even years and the Frankfurt Motor Show is held on odd years. During the last edition of the IAA, the show saw a record-breaking amount of visitors and had over 1,103 individual exhibitors from 39 different countries. It also saw a record-breaking amount—219—of world premieres as well. With “Future now” as this year’s theme for the 67th IAA (taking place from September 14th to 24th), it promises to be an exciting time for aspiring auto mechanics looking for a glimpse into the future of the auto industry.
