2020 Mitsubishi Mirage G4
Getting a combined 6.7 L/100km, with 7.1 L/100km in the city and 5.0 L/100km on the highway, the Mirage G4 is a pretty fuel-efficient sedan. However, although its price tag is appealing, starting around $16,000 CAD, the Mirage makes for a pretty noisy, disagreeable ride.

With a combined 6.5 L/100km (7.4 city/5.6 highway) the Honda Civic is a well-loved, user-friendly model that’s here to stay. A roomier, more comfortable riding option than the Mirage, it’s turbocharged engine definitely packs a punch, making anyone in mechanics school wonder how it saves so much fuel.
2020 Hyundai Accent
The Accent boasts a graceful driving experience, a convenient price tag, and fun technology features such as Apple CarPlay. The Accent gets a combined 7.1 L/100km (8.1 city/6.0 highway).

Last but certainly not least, the Toyota Corolla Hatchback is a strong option, with an effective four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. The Corolla gets 7.6 L/100km combined (8.4 city/6.4 highway).
